The Direct Marketing Association reports....Japan see the opportunity to create the next Internet. Japan is starting to research a new networking technology that is said to potentially replace the Internet. Citing the overall quality of the Internet and security problems, Japan's communications ministry says Japan can create something better and it is not Web 2.0. US and European researchers are also said to have started development of the next Internet to rebuild the underlying architecture of the Internet. Yoshihiro Onishi, assistant director at the Japanese communications ministry, said "The Internet is reaching its limit," he said. "We feel this research for the technology is definitely needed."
